I'm here right now. 1st time in. seems excellent. friendly. nice lunch crowd. beach is across street.

I like the bar area, not so much with restaurant. I will visit more often but always at thier bar. I realize is same food, but maybe it has to do with attention and friendly service at the bar area.

Updated June 2026: Lost count on how many Pina Coladas and Rum Runners we got so far but to say the least: bunch of them because they’re the best, hands down. Updated April 2025: Finally reopened! Great food and atmosphere. Delicious drinks, especially the Pina Colada! Updated January 2025: Making recovery efforts after the hurricanes! Please support them when they are ready to reopen! Updated August 2024: Great Drinks on the go as always! Best Pina Colada in town! The only pity we experienced (with all the restaurants from the Manasota Key Group) is that they have trouble with using European credit cards. I think it might be a technical issue. Or they need to understand that they eventually have to put the card inside on the bottom and let the customers use their pin. And not swipe the card through on the side. I hope that gets fixed. 2023: Great place to eat but especially their cocktails are great. They went above and beyond to create some nice ones with and without alcohol. We were even able to grab them to go. Would definitely come back!

Hands down THE only spot on the Key! Lock 'N Key has the best fish tacos in SWFL. Beyond the delicious food, the staff is incredible, they're always providing fast, friendly, and courteous service. To top it all off, it is the perfect spot to grab a seat, unwind, and watch a gorgeous sunset, (the beach is across the street:). I always return and highly recommend! Live, love local!🐟🌮🌅

Absolutely delicious. We had the tuna, scallops and shrimp Alfredo. All so fresh! Even the Caesar dressing was amazing. Would definitely return.

Just enjoyed a great dinner here. Frozen drinks were perfect, which I’ve found shockingly, nowhere else on the island that makes them this good. Food was also delicious and our waitress outside was phenomenal. Very rare to check every box. Always been a pet peeve of mine when places who inevitably have an endless flow of tourists just crank out whatever junk food because they can, but that’s not the case here. You can tell this place really has it together in the kitchen, and just as important, service. Feel bad I didn’t catch her name but she’s definitely a huge asset to this place and deserves all the $$$!!!

Coming from service industry, my wife and I noticed old school service which is very rare today. Jackson did an incredible job. Food was good. Plenty of options for everyone.

The Lock N’ Key was a great experience. We went for an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. We enjoyed happy hour by pulling some tabs to get our drink prices. We ended up getting one of my Stella’s for fifty cents. While we enjoyed our drinks, we ordered a dozen raw oysters for our appetizer. For my entree, I had the steak frites. All of the food was delicious! The service was fantastic and we left full and happy. We will definitely try Lock N’ Key again when are back in the area.

The food was amazing. The Grouper dish was the best fish I have ever had. My wife loved the Mahi-Mahial as well as the homemade salad.

Boom boom shrimp and Jalepeno cream cheese burger were fantastic.

The service was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed my coconut shrimp and mahi tacos. They were absolutely delicious, and I would definitely go back without hesitation.

Our Sunday lunch at Lock & Key was a five star experience from start to finish and the perfect way to spend an afternoon walking distance from Englewood Beach. We were greeted immediately at the hostess stand and when we requested to sit outside on a very hot day she went above and beyond, seating us near a fan without even being asked. A small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire meal. Our server was attentive and efficient, drinks arrived quickly and we were ready to order. We went with the tuna nachos and the calamari, both outstanding. The tuna nachos were exceptional, we wouldn’t change a thing. The calamari was perfectly cooked and the marinara on the side was a great complement. Most guests were dining inside to beat the heat but the outdoor experience was comfortable and relaxed. Service was warm, food was excellent, and the whole experience felt effortless. We are just beginning our full-time global travel journey and Lock & Key is exactly the kind of local gem we love discovering. We will absolutely be back. Love everything about this place. Start out from pulling in parking lot and they have free valet parking. So no hassle of finding parking. Everyone who is working always makes you feel welcome because they acknowledge you are there. Ordering drinks?? Well if it’s before 6:00pm you get to pull a tab with your drink and pull the right one you will pay only .50cents. Just make sure you order from the bar for the pull tab. Their food comes out in a timely manner and even if it didn’t it’s worth the wait. Hands down the best Ahi Tuna Nachos. I drive up there at least once a week to get them. Last night I got those and ordered the Catch Rockfeller. It was phenomenal. The vibe here is always great. If you want a fine dine restaurant but with a vibe like u feel at home this is the place to be. I’m adding pictures of my food last night. Also adding a picture of the stainless steel cooler because after working in restaurants for many years I pay attention to detail. Notice how the cooler is so clean to water drip marks hand prints etc. they keep this restaurant clean which means a lot. I love this place! Thank you lock n key for being one of the best all around spots here is swfl!

My wife and I are from Illinois. We vacation in this area. We stop for happy hour, every time we are in town!

One of my favorite restaurants in Englewood

This was my daughter's and I'm favorite place to eat and drink. So good, service both times 5 stars, food was soooo good. Highly recommend and do the happy hour on the drinks. Fun to gamble on your drink price.

As always a great lunch, great service and great atmosphere. Love Lock and Key. Been going there for almost 20 years.

Stopped here for lunch. Food, service, and atmosphere were all great. Party of four, one got tacos, two had chicken salad, I had French onion soup and half- turkey, bacon, sandwich. Soup was thick and flavorable. Ended up ordering the chicken salad to go, because it was so good, the strawberries with it were good, and it came with great pumpkin bread. Will definitely go back.

Great local place to eat with awesome shrimp tacos along with great service. It does get very busy so I would recommend calling ahead to check or reserving a table.

Great place to eat. Amazing atmosphere and ocean breeze. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the menu had a very good variety of choices and different cuisines. Service was quick and food was amazing. Highly recommended.

We always go to lock and key when we are in Englewood Florida. The beach is just across the street and you can eat outside or inside.

We ate at Lock ’N Key Restaurant last night, and from start to finish, the service was outstanding. We made a reservation for 6:15, walked in at 6:14, and were seated in less than a minute. The place was incredibly busy, so I was amazed at how quickly we were seated. We ordered appetizers and entrées, and everything was excellent. The New York strip was absolutely amazing. My wife ordered the shrimp and crab legs, and she thoroughly enjoyed them as well. This was our second time eating at this restaurant, and I truly can’t speak highly enough of it.

Really great experience tonight!!! Valet easy and free (just a big tip), hostess friendly, server beyond awesome and the best was the food!! We had full entrees. My husband the Ribeye and me Grouper/lobster! 5 star food at a 3 star price point!!! Well done!! We are local 9 months a year and will be back often!
